It could be water retention, increased muscle, or swelling. You could see a 2 lb gain this week but then see a 4 lb loss next week which means those two weeks you spent losing 2 pounds are not out the window.

Never ever look at your weight on a week-by-week basis. When you're looking to the future, yes, take it one day or even one meal at a time. But when you look backward you can't just look at the past week because it will drive you crazy. It's like the old adage 2 steps forward one step back. 2 lbs down, 2 lbs up, 4 lbs down still equals a 4 lb loss over all. Don't forget that. Try not to compare this week's weight to last week's weight, but to the weight that you were when you started.

I know I'm the last to be preaching because I have these same frustrations that you do ... but I'm more or less just reminding you of your own wisdom so I think it's ok in this case. :)Lynseehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06752254017919024864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732429991793721552.post-73300588379022461132011-01-02T21:38:00.316-07:002011-01-02T21:38:00.316-07:00Business as usual is a very good thing!!Business as usual is a very good thing!!WWSuzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14200582568720343436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1732429991793721552.post-72159259840939231402011-01-02T21:03:28.521-07:002011-01-02T21:03:28.521-07:00Regardless of what the scale says, you're righ...Regardless of what the scale says, you're right - it's business as usual.
